Through 4-H, young people are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that emphasize 4-H's "learning by doing" philosophy of youth development. The goals are to help kids develop as responsible individuals and as productive citizens in their communities. 4-H creates supportive environments for culturally diverse youth, 5-19 years of age, to reach their fullest potential.
